This role is responsible for providing and maintaining a high standard of individualized nursing care to patients and their family members according to current best-evidence based standards, using best judgement at all times in alignment with DOH/DHA and organization policies, procedures, guidelines and standards.
Responsibilities
- Conduct initial patient assessments and coordinate referrals as per clinical guidelines.
- Plan, implement, and evaluate patient care considering medical and surgical needs.
- Administer medications and treatments safely, including post-operative care.
- Monitor patient condition, recognize changes, and escalate concerns appropriately.
- Collaborate with physicians and the multidisciplinary team for coordinated care.
- Ensure proper use of clinical equipment and maintain safety and hygiene standards.
- Maintain accurate documentation and support continuity of care.
- Educate patients and families, address concerns, and support a smooth patient journey.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or equivalent.
- Valid DOH/DHA/MOH license or DOH eligibility.
- Minimum 2 years of Operating Theatre experience, preferably with Orthopedics experience.
- BLS certification required; ACLS/PALS is an advantage.
