Role Description
The Registered Nurse role at Oryx Gulf is a full-time, on-site position based in Doha, Qatar.
The Registered Nurse provides direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing interventions in accordance with clinical protocols and best practices.
Daily responsibilities include monitoring vital signs, administering medications and treatments, documenting care accurately, and coordinating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to support patient recovery and comfort.
The nurse educates patients and families about health conditions, treatment plans, and post-discharge care, while promoting safety, infection control, and adherence to facility policies.
The role also involves participating in multidisciplinary meetings, quality improvement activities, and maintaining professional competencies through ongoing education.
Qualifications
- Valid nursing license/registration and completion of an accredited nursing program (Bachelor of Science in Nursing or equivalent preferred).
- Demonstrated clinical skills in patient assessment, medication administration, wound care, and monitoring of vital signs.
- Strong knowledge of infection control practices, patient safety protocols, and evidence-based nursing standards.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time efficiently, and respond calmly in high-pressure or emergency situations.
- Proficiency in medical documentation systems and basic computer literacy; experience with electronic health records is an advantage.
- Commitment to ethical practice, cultural sensitivity, and maintaining patient confidentiality and privacy.
- Previous experience in hospital or clinical settings is preferred; experience in Doha or the Gulf region is an added benefit.
- Willingness to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required by patient care needs.
- Ongoing dedication to professional development, including participation in training, certifications, and continuing education.
