Role overview
Lead Ashgrove Care Home’s nursing and residential units and oversee care services, quality and compliance.
Help develop a specialist service for people living with complex dementia and behaviours that challenge.
Responsibilities
- Lead both units with accountability for care quality, clinical safety and compliance.
- Provide clinical oversight across nursing, medicines and risk; build a stable team with clear expectations and supervision.
- Develop referrals, individual support profiles and safe admissions for the complex dementia and behaviour service.
- Embed positive behaviour support, PRICE restraint reduction and meaningful daily occupation.
- Maintain CQC readiness through governance, audits, action plans and evidence against the Single Assessment Framework.
- Work with commissioners, families and multidisciplinary teams across Dudley, Sandwell and Birmingham.
- Manage occupancy, staffing and budgets.
What the employer is looking for
- Current NMC registration with no restrictions; ability to register with CQC as Registered Manager.
- Proven team management experience and direct CQC inspection experience, with evidence of achieving or improving ratings.
- Sound knowledge of the MCA, DoLS/LPS, safeguarding and positive behaviour support.
- RMN strongly preferred; experienced RGN candidates with extensive complex dementia or behavioural care experience will be considered.
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management or willingness to work towards it.
Pay and benefits
- Salary is £45,000–£50,000 per year.
