Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Registered Civil Engineer for Exponential Contracting based in Abu Dhabi Emirate, United Arab Emirates.
The Registered Civil Engineer will be responsible for preparing and reviewing civil engineering designs, drawings, and specifications for infrastructure and land development projects.
Daily tasks include conducting site assessments, performing technical calculations, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring designs comply with local codes, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
The role involves planning and overseeing stormwater management systems, drainage networks, and related civil works, as well as supporting project scheduling, cost estimation, and risk assessments.
The engineer will also collaborate with clients, contractors, and authorities, provide technical guidance during construction, and contribute to quality assurance and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Civil Engineering, with proven experience in infrastructure or land development projects.
- Proficiency in Civil Engineering Design, including preparation and review of drawings, specifications, and technical reports.
- Experience in Planning of civil works, including project phasing, scheduling, and coordination with stakeholders.
- Hands-on experience with Stormwater Management, drainage design, and related hydrologic/hydraulic calculations.
- Registered or eligible for registration as a Civil Engineer with a recognized engineering council or authority.
- Familiarity with UAE or regional building codes, standards, and permitting processes is highly desirable.
- Competence in relevant design and analysis software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, stormwater modeling tools).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical reporting skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate across disciplines and with external partners.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field; a master’s degree is an advantage.
- 2 to 3 years of experience.
