We are partnering with a leading pharmaceutical organisation to appoint a Regional Category Manager to strengthen its regional sourcing and supply chain capabilities
.This is a strategic role responsible for driving end-to-end category management across critical direct procurement spend areas
.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute regional category strategies across multiple direct procurement categories
- Lead strategic sourcing initiatives, supplier negotiations, and contract management
- Drive cost optimisation while ensuring quality, compliance, and supply continuity in a GMP-regulated environment
- Partner closely with Manufacturing, Quality, Technical Operations, Regulatory, and Supply Chain teams
- Manage key supplier relationships and build long-term strategic partnerships
- Identify and implement value creation, risk mitigation, and procurement transformation opportunities
Requirements
- :
- Bachelor’s degree in Science (Chemistry / Biology / Pharmaceutical / Biotechnology) or chemical engineering or Supply Chain Management.
- Minimally 5 to 8 years of procurement or sourcing experience, ideally within the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG), Consumer Health, OTC, or Pharmaceutical industries
- Strong exposure to external Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMO/CDMOs), API, chemicals, or packaging categories is desirable
- Experience working in a regional or multi-country procurement environment
- Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills
- CIPS/ISM certification or an MBA would be advantageous
