What You'll Do

  • · Test chillers according to engineering test plans, record the data required, and report on test results.
  • · Troubleshoot chiller performance and operational issues (mechanical, electrical, controls, central plant)
  • · Evacuate chillers according to company standards and troubleshoot leaks.
  • · Refrigerant transfer to and from chillers, record exchanges for inventory control
  • · Execute repairs, modifications, and upgrades according to Engineering specifications
  • · Support 6S and department maintenance efforts
  • · Other duties and responsibilities as required

What You'll Bring

  • · Refrigerant handling license: EPA 608, type II
  • · Apprentice refrigeration mechanic license
  • · Journeyman refrigeration mechanic license
  • · Previous brazing experience
  • Core Competencies:
  • · Ability to braze copper joints with an open flame torch
  • · An understanding of evacuation and refrigerant transfer equipment and industry best practices
  • · Attention to detail
  • · Mechanical skills
  • · Able to work alone
  • · Working written/verbal communication skills (English)
  • · Ability to multitask and adapt to a highly dynamic environment
  • · Good reasoning skills and sound judgement
