Who We’re Looking For
We’re looking for an early-career professional who is genuinely interested in building a career in recruiting or Human Resources. This is not intended to be a purely administrative position. While the role will initially provide significant coordination and operational support to Recruiting, the goal is to develop the right person into a Junior Recruiter and eventually an independent Recruiter.
A recent college graduate with an interest in Recruiting, Human Resources, Business, Communications, Psychology or a related field could be an excellent fit. Prior recruiting experience is not required; we are more interested in finding someone who is bright, organized, personable, comfortable communicating with candidates, and eager to learn the recruiting process.
The right person will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, take initiative without waiting to be told what to do, and be interested in understanding not just how to move candidates through a process, but how to identify and engage great talent.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated interest in pursuing a career in Recruiting or Human Resources.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and follow through.
- Comfortable speaking with candidates by phone, email and in person.
- Naturally curious and interested in learning about different jobs, departments and skill sets.
- Good judgment and the ability to recognize when something requires escalation.
- Comfortable learning new systems and technology; ATS experience is a plus but not required.
- Previous internship, campus recruiting, customer service, sales, HR, administrative or other people-facing experience is helpful.
- Desire to grow into candidate screening, sourcing and full-cycle recruiting responsibilities over time.
- ITAR/EAR Compliance: Due to the nature of the work performed at Rocket EMS, this position may require access to export-controlled technical data or technology. The successful candidate must be eligible to access such information under applicable U.S. export-control laws or be eligible for any required government authorization.
- Rocket EMS will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories in a manner consistent with the California Fair Chance Act. Candidates are not required to disclose criminal history or participate in a background check unless and until a conditional offer of employment has been made. Any final offer of employment may be conditioned on completion of a background check, consistent with applicable law. #zr
