Position Summary

Serve with Recovery Corps at a nonprofit organization or public agency committed to serving recovery communities.

Support local responses to the opioid epidemic and help service sites reach more people in the community.

Core Responsibilities

  • Facilitate research and data collection and lead focus groups.
  • Advance health campaigns and create education campaigns.
  • Mobilize volunteers and conduct training on pathways to recovery.
  • Support workforce development and other projects aligned with the service site's goals.
  • Participate in training and professional development and share experience with the community.

Essential Qualifications

  • Be dependable, maintain good attendance, and follow instructions.
  • Maintain a service schedule based on the agreed hours commitment.
  • Use basic computer tools, including email and online navigation.
  • Speak, read, and write English fluently.
  • Have a high school diploma or equivalent and successfully complete a background check.

Program Schedule

  • The 2026-27 program year runs from September 2026 through July 2027.
  • The schedule lists daytime hours from Monday through Friday and time off on holidays.
  • The posting states 40 hours per week and also says part-time positions at 25 hours per week are available.

Member Benefits

  • Full-time AmeriCorps members receive a paycheck described as a stipend every two weeks.
  • Stipend amounts and education awards are provided through the organization's careers information.
