Reconciliation Supervisor (Banking experience is mandatory)

Key responsibilities

• Ensure all GL accounts are properly reconciled, with timely follow-up and resolution of outstanding items
• Supervise daily and month-end closing activities, including accruals, depreciation, and adjustments
• Maintain and monitor fixed assets accounting and related reconciliations
• Ensure accuracy of financial records and compliance with internal policies and IFRS requirements
• Support audit requirements and ensure timely resolution of audit findings
• Monitor OPEX and CAPEX, including variance analysis and budget control
• Strengthen internal controls and ensure adherence to policies, procedures, and information security requirements
• Supervise and develop team members, ensuring high performance and accountability
• Ensure timely clearance of suspense accounts and monitor aging of outstanding reconciling items
• Review and challenge unusual or high-risk transactions, especially manual adjustments and non-standard entries
• Lead root cause analysis for recurring reconciliation breaks and implement corrective actions
• Support system enhancements and participate in finance system implementations or upgrades
• Drive automation of reconciliation processes and reduce manual intervention
• Required knowledge & experience
• Strong technical accounting knowledge (IFRS, accruals, fixed assets, banking products and treasury instruments)
• Solid experience in GL and reconciliation processes
• Analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Strong coordination and stakeholder management skills
• Strong understanding of the impact of manual entries on the financial statements and ability to identify and resolve related issues.
