Job Summary – Receptionist / Patient Services Officer
Responsible for welcoming and assisting patients, managing appointments, handling calls and emails, maintaining patient records, processing billing and insurance transactions, and ensuring smooth front-desk operations while delivering excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and guide patients to the appropriate departments.
- Register new patients and update existing records.
- Manage appointments, confirmations, cancellations, and rescheduling.
- Handle phone calls, emails, and patient inquiries.
- Verify insurance eligibility and process payments/co-payments.
- Prepare invoices, collect outstanding balances, and maintain accurate billing records.
- Support daily cash handling and financial reconciliation procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality, patient safety, and compliance with healthcare policies.
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and provide professional customer service.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in any relevant field.
- 1–2 years of healthcare or customer service experience.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Good organizational and analytical abilities.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
