Role Description
This is a part-time, remote Receptionist role supporting Senisim PNG’s daily administrative and communication needs.
The Receptionist will handle incoming calls, respond to general inquiries, and route communications to the appropriate team members while maintaining professional phone etiquette.
Daily tasks include managing email correspondence, maintaining digital contact lists, scheduling virtual meetings, and assisting with basic document preparation.
The role also involves providing courteous support to partners, participants, and stakeholders, ensuring that each interaction reflects the organization’s values.
The Receptionist will collaborate with team members online, update records, and help maintain organized digital files and calendars.
Qualifications
- Strong phone etiquette and communication skills, including clear, professional verbal and written communication.
- Experience with receptionist duties such as handling inquiries, routing calls and messages, and managing virtual front-desk responsibilities.
- Clerical skills including basic data entry, email management, scheduling, and maintaining digital records and calendars.
- Customer service skills with a focus on patience, empathy, and providing helpful, respectful support to diverse stakeholders.
- Comfort using common office and collaboration tools (e.g., email platforms, video conferencing, shared drives).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize tasks in a remote environment.
- Reliable internet connection and a suitable home workspace to perform remote duties effectively.
- Prior experience in an administrative, front-desk, or customer-facing role is an advantage; familiarity with PNG communities or nonprofit work is a plus.
