Ramp Agent - YXL

Reporting to the Manager, Ramp Operations the Ramp Agent is responsible for the sorting, loading and unloading of baggage, freight and equipment out of Company aircraft, focusing on the Service Level agreement to ensure that customer service is met along with on-time performance.

High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) equivalent

Must possess valid driver’s license

Must qualify for and obtain an Airside Vehicle Operator’s Permit

Must be able to obtain and maintain any applicable transportation security clearances and additional authorizations

Previous warehouse and/or Ramp experience is considered an asset

Previous aviation operation experience is considered an asset

Forklift license or completed applicable training considered an asset

Indigenous and Cultural Awareness Training considered an asset

Physically able to perform all listed job duties

Travel by aircraft and other means as required by role

Work performed in multiple environments, contact with staff and the general public

Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and telephones

Work performed both indoors and outdoors; employee must be able to adapt to all outdoor weather conditions

Various shifts and at a fast pace in order to meet service level requirements of the airline

In good general health and able to lift and bend, carrying loads of up to 50lbs

Safety equipment when and where required, e.g. hearing protection, safety vest, and applicable passes
