We manage the CRN – Country Regional Network, ensuring safe transportation of people and goods across NSW.%3Cbr%3E%26nbsp;%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E%3Cstrong%3EJob Purpose%3C/strong%3E%3Cbr%3EThis position is responsible to work under the direction of the Head of HSE and assist in overseeing all rail safety requirements and ensuring compliance with network rules and procedures.%3Cbr%3E%26nbsp;%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E%3Cstrong%3EKey Responsibilities%3C/strong%3E%3Cbr%3ECoaching and mentoring on rail safety, including conducting site visits for mentoring and support both randomly and scheduled%3Cbr%3EPrepare reports of site visit compliance with SMS and Rail Safety National Law%3Cbr%3EProvide support and guidance in the rail safety operational environment for operations and maintenance activities, including support for the business during shutdowns.%3Cbr%3EAssist in the preparation of strategies for working safely within and around rail corridors – including lateral thinking in implementing Safety solutions.%3Cbr%3EAssist in the completion of incident investigations when required and coaching of staff conducting investigations.%3Cbr%3ESupport the response, recovery and learning from incidents which may occur.%3Cbr%3EAssist in the development of site-specific safety management documentation such as plans and risk assessments.%3Cbr%3EMonitoring compliance with safety controls and ensuring incidents, hazards and safety conversations are reported and control breaches/incidents are investigated for prevention of recurrence.%3Cbr%3EAudits of compliance with the Safety Management System, including Network Rules and Procedures, and production of reports.%3Cbr%3EUpdating of Safety Management System (SMS) documentation as required.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E%3Cbr%3E%3Cstrong%3EQualifications%3C/strong%3E%3Cbr%3EExperience in operational rail safety environments.%3Cbr%3EExperience in rail safeworking requirements%3Cbr%3EExperience in delivery of safety initiatives and training%3Cbr%3EDemonstrates a sound understanding of Risk Management principles, controls hierarchy etc.%3Cbr%3ESound knowledge of HSSE and Quality Systems.%3Cbr%3EDemonstrated ability to conduct accident/incident investigations, risk assessments and hazard / injury management processes.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E%3Cbr%3E%3Cstrong%3EDiversity%3C/strong%3E%3Cbr%3EWe embrace diversity in all its forms—backgrounds, ideas, work styles, and perspectives.
