Role Description

The Radiology Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Sharjah at Al Durrah Radiology Center.

The role involves performing a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures in accordance with established protocols and radiation safety standards.

Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing patients for examinations, operating imaging equipment, positioning patients accurately, and capturing high-quality images for diagnostic review.

The technician will verify patient information, maintain detailed records, and collaborate closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure timely and accurate reporting.

Additional tasks include routine equipment checks, adherence to infection control and safety policies, and providing clear, compassionate communication to patients throughout their visit.

Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in Radiologic Technology and Radiology, with the ability to perform standard diagnostic imaging procedures safely and accurately.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Radiation Safety principles and practices, including minimizing exposure and following regulatory and institutional guidelines.
  • Relevant professional credentials such as American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or equivalent certification, where applicable.
  • Understanding of Medicine and basic human anatomy to support accurate image acquisition and effective communication with clinical teams.
  • Diploma or degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Experience working with digital imaging systems, PACS, RIS, and HIS is highly beneficial.
  • Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to follow standardized protocols and documentation requirements.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills, with a patient-centered approach and the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts as required by clinical operations and maintain professional ethics and confidentiality at all times.
