Overview
A leading confectionery manufacturer in Dubais Jebel Ali Free Zone is seeking an experienced **R&D Technologist** to drive innovation across biscuits, chocolates, and wafers.
This full-time role involves leading new product development from concept to launch, optimizing formulations, and ensuring successful scale-up for production.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food science, hands-on experience with confectionery R&D, and a deep understanding of ingredient functionality and processing techniques.
Working closely with cross-functional teams, the technologist will ensure product quality, compliance, and market relevance while supporting the company's vision of becoming a regional hub for confectionery innovation.
Responsibilities
- Drive product innovation from concept to commercialization.
- Conduct lab trials and full-scale production tests.
- Optimize formulations for cost, taste, and shelf life.
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and documentation.
Requirements
- Degree in Food Technology or related field.
- 3+ years' experience in NPD, preferably in confectionery.
- Familiarity with sensory evaluation, shelf-life testing, and food trends.
