Responsibilities

  • 3D Modeling & Prototyping: Utilize SolidWorks to create 3D parts, engineering drawings, functional prototypes, and experimental fixtures. Benchtop Testing: Develop and execute rigorous benchtop test methods to evaluate new medical devices for development. Data Analysis: Record experimental measurements and perform basic statistical evaluations to identify performance trends and design behaviors. Technical Writing: Document R&D activities by drafting clear test methods, build procedures, data logs, and technical memos or reports. Test Setup Engineering: Design and assemble custom test fixtures and instrumentation to facilitate product testing. Sample Fabrication: Build physical test samples and prototypes to support iterative design cycles and team evaluations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills Knowledge of CAD software (SolidWorks.) High attention to detail with strong organizational skills Strong analytical and critical thinking skills Requirements Currently enrolled as a student in a Bachelor’s degree program in a related field, such as Mechanical Engineering or Biomedical Engineering Available full-time for the duration of the co-op (insert duration here) Must be available to work onsite in Waltham, MA throughout the duration of the co-op. Must have reliable transportation to and from the Waltham, Massachusetts, Paragonix location; transportation will not be provided by the company Housing, relocation, and housing stipends are not provided. Strong interest in pursing relevant industry experience within he healthcare and medical devices industry is a plus.
