Quantity Surveyor - Water Infrastructure

Role overview

Commercial and cost control

• Prepare and review BOQs, cost estimates, and budgets for waterproofing and insulation works.
• Monitor project costs and manage cost control and forecasting.
• Track variations, claims, and additional works related to waterproofing systems.
• Maintain cost reports and cash flow forecasts.

Billing and payments

• Prepare and submit interim payment applications and final bills.
• Measure completed works accurately against drawings and specifications.
• Coordinate billing certification and approvals with clients and consultants.
• Verify and certify subcontractor and supplier invoices.

Contracts and coordination

• Assist with tender analysis, rate evaluation, and contract finalization for waterproofing and insulation subcontractors.
• Prepare and review work orders, subcontracts, and amendments; ensure compliance with contract terms, specifications, and scope.
• Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, planning, and QA/QC teams, and provide commercial input to site teams.
• Attend meetings on commercial and contractual matters.

Documentation and compliance

• Maintain records of measurements, variations, correspondence, and approvals.
• Ensure commercial documentation aligns with company procedures and audit requirements.

Qualifications and experience

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a relevant field.
• At least 5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor for water infrastructure.
• Technical understanding of water supply, sewage, and treatment plant construction techniques.
• Experience managing financial, contractual, and technical aspects of treatment plant and pipeline projects.
• Experience with cost estimation, BOQ preparation, tender documentation, and subcontractor billing.
