About The Role
We are seeking an experienced
Quantity Surveyor
to join our team in Dubai.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in quantity surveying for building construction projects and will be responsible for cost control, quantity verification, payment certification, and monitoring of construction resources throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately calculate quantities of works executed on site by contractors and subcontractors.
- Review and verify monthly payment applications, including quantities, rates, percentage of completion, and certified payment amounts.
- Compare executed quantities with the approved Bill of Quantities (BOQ).
- Measure and verify all construction materials delivered to site, ensuring compliance with project specifications for civil, architectural finishing, and MEP works.
- Monitor the proper utilization and organized storage of construction materials.
- Inspect and record all machinery and equipment operating on site, including working hours and productivity.
- Verify the workforce deployed on site, including skilled and unskilled labor, masons, carpenters, steel fixers, electricians, plumbers, and other trades.
- Ensure that completed monthly works correspond accurately with the contractor's submitted invoices.
- Monitor and maintain records of all construction resources, ensuring they remain allocated to the project site unless officially approved otherwise.
- Prepare project cost estimates and assist with cost planning throughout construction.
- Report any discrepancies or changes in the specifications of delivered materials.
- Handle all quantity surveying activities required to support the successful delivery of the project.

- **Minimum 15 years of proven experience**
- as a Quantity Surveyor on large-scale building construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of BOQ preparation, quantity take-offs, cost estimation, interim valuations, and payment certification.
- Excellent understanding of civil, architectural finishing, and MEP construction works.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
- Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and reporting abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and quantity surveying software.
