Quantity Surveyor

Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare quantity take-offs from drawings and specifications.
• Prepare and review BOQs, cost estimates, and project budgets.
• Obtain and compare subcontractor and supplier quotations.
• Prepare tender documentation, pricing, client quotations, and commercial proposals.
• Review drawings and identify cost implications.
• Monitor project costs against approved budgets.
• Prepare interim payment applications and evaluate subcontractor payment claims.
• Prepare variation claims and supporting documentation.
• Maintain records of quantities, rates, variations, costs, and commercial reports.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, procurement, and finance teams.
• Conduct site measurements when required.
• Assist with final accounts, commercial term reviews, cost savings, and reconciliation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience.
• UAE construction experience is preferred.
• Strong experience in quantity take-offs and BOQ preparation.
• Good knowledge of civil, renovation, refurbishment, and fit-out works.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials and market rates.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Excel, and quantity surveying software.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills and good commercial awareness.
• Ability to read architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.

Compensation

• Pay starts from AED 4,000 per month.
