Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for construction projects, factoring in materials, labor, equipment, and other variables.
- Use industry benchmarks, historical data, and market rates to ensure realistic cost projections.
- Evaluate contractor and supplier bids, analyzing pricing, technical specifications, and compliance with project requirements.
- Prepare tender evaluation reports and advise the project team on contract awards.
- Monitor project expenses and cash flow, identifying cost-saving opportunities and risks.
- Implement cost control measures and provide regular financial reports to stakeholders.
- Measure and quantify completed works on-site, ensuring accurate quantity take-offs and record-keeping.
- Collaborate with design teams to verify quantities and resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain documentation of cost-related activities, including contracts, claims, and variations.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in similar role, preferably within GCC.
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in PMC or construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction costs, contracts, and industry practices.
- Proficient in cost estimation techniques, quantity take-off methods, and cost control processes.
- Familiarity with software applications for cost estimation, measurement, and project management.
- Knowledge of local construction regulations, standards, and codes.
- Understanding of procurement practices and contract administration.
- Experience in similar roles and familiarity with on-site operations, especially in Abu Dhabi, UAE, or the Gulf region.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent.
- Fluent in English.
- Location: Site Based - Abu Dhabi, UAE.
