Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Quantity Surveyor based in Abu Dhabi.
The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for preparing Bills of Quantities (BOQ), performing cost control activities, managing cost planning, and preparing cost reports.
The role involves ensuring project costs are effectively managed and aligned with approved budgets, while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders throughout project phases.
Qualifications
- Experience in Cost Control and Cost Management practices
- Proficiency in creating and managing Bills of Quantities (BOQ)
- Skills in Cost Planning and Cost Reporting
- Proficiency in relevant software tools for quantity surveying
- Familiarity with standards and regulations in the HVAC and MEP industry
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field
- Ability to work on-site in Abu Dhabi
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate cost estimates and BOQs for MEP works (HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing)
- Handle MEP projects from tender stage to final costing
- Conduct site visits for project assessment, verification, and coordination
- Study drawings, specifications, and tender documents
- Prepare material take-offs and cost analysis
- Coordinate with site, design, and procurement teams
- Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations
- Assist in tender submissions
- Monitor cost variations and maintain estimation records
