Quality Inspector (Electrical)

  • Doha, Qatar.
  • We envisage success in this role to include:
  • Ensuring all assigned work meets agreed KPIs and SLAs while proactively coordinating with client teams, contractors, and stakeholders.
  • Conducting planned and random site inspections of electrical installations and systems to verify compliance with approved drawings, specifications, project requirements, local regulations, and relevant international standards.
  • Inspecting electrical works, including power distribution systems, lighting systems, earthing and lightning protection systems, low-voltage installations, control panels, cabling works, and associated infrastructure.
  • Monitoring contractor activities to ensure adherence to approved Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), Method Statements, and Quality Management System (QMS)

  • Witnessing electrical testing and commissioning activities, including cable testing, continuity testing, insulation resistance testing, functional testing, and system performance verification.
  • Identifying non-conformances, quality issues, and deviations from project specifications, and recommending corrective and preventive actions.
  • Investigating recurring quality issues, conducting root cause analysis, and preparing detailed inspection reports with supporting documentation and photographs.
  • Recording inspection findings and maintaining accurate quality records in relevant systems, ensuring timely updates and effective document control.
  • Providing field-based technical support and guidance to contractors and project teams on quality-related matters.
  • Liaising with internal stakeholders, consultants, contractors, and client representatives to resolve quality concerns and promote best practices.
  • Ensuring compliance with applicable health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements during all inspection activities.
  • Participating in on-call escalation rotas and supporting colleagues as required to meet business needs.

Qualifications

  • To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that your career journey to date will include:
  • A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in electrical quality inspection, construction supervision, or quality assurance within infrastructure, utilities, or building projects.
  • A Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing and maintaining Quality Management Systems in accordance with ISO 9001 standards.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and regulations, including local authority requirements and international standards such as IEC, BS, or equivalent.
  • Experience reviewing electrical drawings, specifications, test reports, and quality documentation.
  • Excellent report writing, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working with government clients or large-scale infrastructure projects will be advantageous.
  • Bilingual candidates with proficiency in Arabic and English will be given preference.
