Quality Engineer

Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct incoming, in-process, and final quality inspections.
• Inspect raw materials, fabricated components, welded assemblies, and finished products.
• Identify and report quality defects, dimensional deviations, welding defects, and fitment issues.
• Perform visual and dimensional inspections using precision measuring instruments.
• Support RCA, CAPA, and NCR activities.
• Maintain quality records, inspection reports, check sheets, and calibration records.
• Assist with Inspection Test Plans and quality documentation.
• Monitor fabrication and welding processes for quality compliance.
• Conduct or assist with coating and finish inspections, including paint, powder coating, and galvanizing.
• Support implementation of ISO 9001 quality practices.

Required Skills

• Knowledge of 7 QC Tools, GD&T, RCA, CAPA, and NCR.
• Hands-on experience with Vernier calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
• Basic understanding of fabrication and welding quality.
• Good documentation and reporting skills.

Education and Experience

• Diploma, B.E., or B.Tech in Mechanical or Production Engineering.
• 0–2 years of relevant Quality, QA, or QC experience.
• Freshers with relevant internship or apprenticeship exposure may also be considered.
• Experience in manufacturing, sheet metal, heavy fabrication, welding, structural steel, automotive components, or material handling equipment is preferred.

Compensation

• Pay is ₹24,500–₹32,500 per month.

Workplace

• The role is based in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.
• Work is on-site and in person.
