Quality Engineer

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with applicable quality standards and regulations.
• Implement and oversee QA/QC procedures, inspections, audits, and testing.
• Develop and maintain quality plans and procedures with project managers and engineers.
• Visit sites regularly to monitor quality control measures and recommend improvements.
• Maintain quality records; review and approve technical documents, drawings, and specifications.
• Train and mentor junior quality engineers and technicians; keep current with industry practices.
• Support project goals and client satisfaction.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
• At least 12 years of quality engineering experience, preferably in infrastructure or civil engineering projects.
• Strong knowledge of quality standards, regulations, and best practices; proficiency with quality management software and tools.
• Problem-solving, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills; ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
• Willingness to travel for site visits and project activities; valid MMUP registration required.

Preferred qualifications

• Familiarity with industry-specific standards such as ISO or ASTM is preferred.
• CQE, CQA, or other quality management certifications are an asset.
