Job Purpose

To ensure the quality of workshop processes in line with the Volkswagen dealer standards.

Responsible for implementation and execution of internal warranty audits on a monthly basis, to introduce and manage quality management systems

Quality Control

Ensure documentation of repairs, usage of correct labour operations and parts, accurate clocking, etc To ensure all quality processes are implemented and adhered to ensure a complete and detailed documentation of the whole repair in the DMS, PIWIS/PQIS and the filing of the repair order.

To coordinate the quality control process on completed jobs after the mechanic/ electrician has finished the work specified on the job card and the car is ready for collection

Ensure the technicians report corresponds to the customers complaint on the job card/repair order and is fully legible

Verify that the documentation for the repair is correct and completed properly by the use of the correct check sheets, PQIS, PRMS ticket/ report, service book stamped, etc

To implement a random inspection process for all completed work, where the car is ready for collection, for damage and dirty marks

Liaise with technicians, foremen & team leaders if the required quality has not been achieved and report to management

Comply with the job task list as defined.

Internal Audit

To fully investigate and report to management on all instances of customer complaints of repeat repairs

Identify trends and training needs and coordinate with the training department to ensure that the appropriate level on training can be prepared and delivered

Ensure that a weekly report is submitted to management regarding the quality of repairs completed, number of repeat repairs and subsequent actions

To conduct a regular warranty self audit to ensure process compliance

To periodically review the overall after sales processes and assess them against best practice to ensure the best possible service is given.

Conduct regular meetings with team leaders / foremen using them as a basis for the communication of any ideas for improvement in processes or cost savings.

Liaise with concerned parties on all issues related to product quality by compiling reports on product failures and repeat repairs

Personal Development

Maintain a working knowledge of all up to date product bulletins from the manufacturer and maintain and develop own skills and technical knowledge, through a development plan agreed with the line manager.

Complete manufacturers online training programs as they become available to keep up to date with technology

Arrange an annual appraisal with your line manager in accordance with the company’s appraisal process.

Personal Development
