Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Quality Control (QC) Engineer with at least 5 years of experience in a cement manufacturing environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with quality standards, overseeing testing and inspection activities, managing quality documentation, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to maintain product excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections and testing of raw materials, including cement, aggregates, admixtures, and water, to ensure compliance with applicable standards and specifications.
- Monitor and evaluate production processes to maintain consistent product quality.
- Maintain accurate records of test results, calibration certificates, mix design approvals, and daily production reports.
- Investigate and analyze quality-related issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Supervise and provide training to QC Inspectors, Laboratory Technicians, and Batching Plant Operators on quality standards, testing procedures, and best practices.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, and third-party laboratories during audits, inspections, concrete trials, and quality assessments.
- Prepare and submit weekly and monthly quality reports to management and clients.
- Ensure laboratory and testing equipment are properly calibrated and maintained.
- Coordinate with the Maintenance Department to resolve equipment issues that may impact product quality.
- Ensure compliance with company quality policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing quality performance and operational efficiency.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Civil, Chemical, Materials, or related field).
- Minimum 5 years of quality control experience in a cement manufacturing plant.
- Strong knowledge of cement testing methods, quality standards, and laboratory procedures.
- Experience in root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
- Familiarity with quality management systems and documentation practices.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and reporting skills.
- Ability to lead and train teams effectively.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and report preparation.
- Salary Range: AED 5,000–6,000 (depending on the candidate's experience and qualifications).
