Purpose
The Quality Control Manager is responsible for leading and managing all quality control activities to ensure that products, services, and processes comply with company standards, customer requirements, and applicable regulatory requirements.
The role focuses on maintaining high-quality standards, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and leading the quality control team to achieve operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality control policies, procedures, and standards.
- Manage and oversee all inspection, testing, and quality assurance activities.
- Lead and supervise the Quality Control team, providing guidance, training, and performance management.
- Monitor product quality and process compliance throughout all operational stages.
- Analyze quality data, identify trends, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Ensure compliance with applicable quality standards, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Coordinate internal and external quality audits and ensure timely closure of audit findings.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues and improve operational performance.
- Prepare and present quality reports, metrics, and performance indicators to senior management.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
- Investigate customer complaints and non-conformance reports and implement effective solutions.
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental requirements related to quality operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional certifications such as ISO Lead Auditor, Six Sigma, CQE, or equivalent are preferred.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in Quality Control, Quality Assurance, or a related field.
- At least 3–5 years of experience in a managerial or supervisory role.
- Proven experience in implementing and managing quality management systems and continuous improvement programs.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems, standards, and regulations.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prepare technical reports and present findings to management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality management software.
- Strong organizational and decision-making skills.
