Quality Assurance Tester – Mobile Applications

About This Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Assurance (QA) Tester – Mobile Applications to join our client team and support the testing of enterprise-grade mobile solutions. The role focuses on manual testing activities, including test case design, execution, defect management, and UI/UX validation to ensure high-quality application delivery aligned with client requirements.

This is a 12 month contract.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with development, product, and business teams to understand requirements and user stories.
• Develop, review, and maintain detailed test cases and test scripts for mobile applications.
• Perform manual testing across functional, UI/UX, and behavioral aspects on multiple platforms including iOS, Android, and proprietary devices (X3M).
• Conduct regression testing to validate fixes and new feature releases.
• Execute smoke testing prior to release and provide clear go/no-go recommendations.
• Log, track, and manage defects using Jira or similar tools, ensuring accurate documentation with reproduction steps and evidence.
• Validate application performance, responsiveness, and usability to ensure optimal user experience.
• Participate in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Support test automation initiatives in collaboration with automation engineers when required.
• Ensure adherence to security, confidentiality, and compliance standards.
• Provide regular reporting on testing progress, defects, and quality metrics to stakeholders.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in manual testing of mobile applications.
• Strong understanding of iOS and Android platforms and device compatibility testing.
• Experience with tools such as Jira, GitLab, and Atlassian suite.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted testing tools (e.g., Claude Code) is a plus.
• Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and sprint-based delivery.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• High attention to detail and strong commitment to quality.
