Quality Assurance / Quality Control Engineer

We are seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Quality Assurance / Quality Control Engineer to join our construction team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting and monitoring construction works especially architectural works to ensure compliance with approved drawings, project specifications, quality standards, and client requirements.

 Review and inspect finishing works including painting, tiling, marble, gypsum ceiling and partition works, flooring, joinery, waterproofing, glass, aluminum, and related finishes.

 Ensure works are executed in compliance with approved shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, project plans and specifications, and quality standards.

 Conduct regular site visits and maintain continuous on-site presence to closely monitor the progress and quality of finishing works.

 Witness inspections and coordinate with contractors, consultants, and subcontractors regarding quality-related matters.

 Review and verify Inspection Requests (IR), Material Inspection Requests (MIR), mock-ups, and material approvals submitted by the contractor.

 Identify non-conforming works and ensure proper corrective and rectification actions are implemented.

 Monitor workmanship quality and installation procedures to ensure compliance with project requirements.

 Conduct snagging and de-snagging inspections prior to project handover.

 Review completed works and provide comments/recommendations for acceptance or rejection.

 Ensure approved materials are properly delivered, stored, protected, and installed on site.

 Attend site meetings and coordinate with project stakeholders regarding progress and quality issues.

 Follow up rectification works and ensure timely closure of quality issues.

 Maintain inspection records, quality reports, snag lists, and handover documentation.

 Ensure finished works are adequately protected from damage before final handover.

 Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field.

 Strong knowledge of finishing materials, workmanship standards, and inspection procedures.

 Ability to review and interpret architectural plans and shop drawings, specifications, and material submittals.

 Strong communication, coordination, and reporting skills.

 Proficient in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office and construction documentation.

 Experience in QAQC inspection for finishing works in construction or fit-out projects - residential, commercial, mid to high-rise buildings.

 UAE/GCC construction experience is an advantage.

 Previous experience working on behalf of a Client, or Consultant is an advantage.
