Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Quality Assurance Quality Control Engineer role based in Abu Dhabi and Dubai.
The QA/QC Engineer will develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance and quality control procedures for engineering and renewable energy projects, ensuring compliance with internal standards, client requirements, and applicable regulations.
Day-to-day tasks include preparing and reviewing quality plans, conducting inspections and tests on materials, equipment, and installations, and documenting results with clear reports and corrective action plans.
The role involves performing internal quality audits, supporting external audits, and collaborating with design, project management, and site teams to resolve nonconformities.
The QA/QC Engineer will also monitor quality performance metrics, recommend process improvements, and help embed a culture of continuous improvement and safety on all project sites.
Qualifications
- Strong Quality Assurance and Quality Management skills, including developing and implementing QA procedures, standards, and documentation.
- Hands-on Quality Control and Inspection experience for engineering or construction projects, preferably in renewable energy or building services.
- Knowledge of Quality Auditing practices, including planning, executing, and reporting on internal and supplier audits.
- Understanding of relevant codes, standards, and TAQA regulations related to construction, MEP, and renewable energy systems (e.g., solar PV).
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or related discipline) or an equivalent technical qualification.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and test reports.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and on-site with multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience with ISO 9001 or similar quality management systems is highly beneficial; relevant QA/QC or auditing certifications are an advantage.
- Prior experience in UAE construction or renewable energy projects, particularly solar PV or green buildings, is a plus.
