The employer seeks a detail-oriented QA Engineer to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of web applications.
The role focuses on manual testing, API testing, and test automation to identify bugs and prevent production issues.
Key responsibilities
- Create test plans, scenarios, and cases based on requirements.
- Perform functional, regression, smoke, sanity, and exploratory testing.
- Test applications across browsers and screen sizes; validate forms, APIs, authentication, permissions, and end-to-end workflows.
- Use Postman for API testing, including error handling and negative scenarios.
- Develop and maintain automated tests using Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium.
- Document, track, and verify bugs using tools such as Jira; perform basic database validation with SQL.
- Work with developers and product teams on quality releases; integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines where applicable.
Required qualifications
- 2–5 years of QA testing experience with web applications.
- Strong knowledge of manual testing and test case design; hands-on API testing with Postman.
- Experience with at least one of Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium.
- Understanding of REST APIs, HTTP methods, status codes, and JSON; familiarity with browser DevTools and network debugging.
- Basic SQL knowledge and experience with bug-tracking tools.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred skills
- Experience testing React, Angular, or other modern web applications.
- Knowledge of performance testing and web security fundamentals.
- Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile methodologies.
- Experience testing complex workflows, dashboards, and role-based access.
