Quality Assurance Analyst

Role overview

What you’ll do

• Review requirements and design documentation to identify test conditions, gaps, risks, and suitable test coverage.
• Create and maintain test cases based on business and technical requirements.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and non-functional testing across complex, multi-component systems as needed.
• Test integrations and APIs, including SOAP web services and REST APIs.
• Investigate, reproduce, document, and track software defects and provide clear information to support resolution.
• Retest defect fixes and perform appropriate regression testing.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, Developers, QA Analysts, and project stakeholders to ensure appropriate test coverage and quality.

Knowledge and qualifications

• Have post-secondary education in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field combined with 3–5 years of software testing or QA experience; equivalent combinations are considered.
• Have experience testing SOAP web services and REST APIs.
• Demonstrate analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, written communication, and collaboration skills.
• Produce status reports, test plans, test cases, bug tracking reports, and risk assessments.
• Experience with test automation tools or frameworks is an asset.

Compensation

• The annual salary range is $53,000 to $79,500; exact compensation may vary by qualifications, experience, and education.
