Role Overview

Testing and Quality Activities

• Execute functional, integration, regression, system, and exploratory testing.
• Develop and maintain automated test suites using Python and Pytest.
• Validate APIs and backend services in cloud-native and serverless architectures.
• Design and execute performance and load testing scenarios using Locust.
• Verify quality across web interfaces, APIs, and distributed cloud services.

Collaboration and Delivery

• Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Collaborate with developers during feature design and implementation to promote shift-left quality.
• Identify, document, track, and verify software defects.
• Assist with root cause analysis and validation of defect fixes.
• Support release validation and production readiness activities.

Continuous Improvement

• Contribute to test planning, test strategy development, and quality metrics reporting.
• Participate in initiatives that improve automation coverage, testing efficiency, and product quality.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Quality Assurance, or a related discipline.
• 0 to 1 years of experience in software testing, software development, internships, co-op programs, academic projects, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Understanding of the software development lifecycle and software testing lifecycle.
• Knowledge of software testing methodologies, best practices, and automated testing concepts.
• Familiarity with Python or another programming language.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Demonstrated attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality work.

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to automated testing using Pytest or similar frameworks.
• Familiarity with REST APIs and API testing tools.
• Knowledge of performance and load testing concepts.
• Exposure to Locust, JMeter, k6, or comparable performance testing tools.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, modern DevOps practices, cloud technologies, AWS services, or Agile and Scrum methodologies.
• Experience testing web applications built with Angular, React, Vue, or similar modern frameworks.
• Exposure to relational and NoSQL databases.
