About This Role
Job Purpose
The Field Technician will be responsible for handling field warranty inspections, supporting customers with battery-related technical services, conducting vehicle electrical inspections, and ensuring proper collection of used batteries in line with company and environmental standards.
The role requires regular field visits, customer interaction, and technical troubleshooting support.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle field warranty inspections and coordinate collection of warranty claims from retail customers.
- Conduct on-site battery inspections and basic vehicle electrical diagnostics.
- Provide technical support and guidance to customers regarding proper battery handling, maintenance, and usage.
- Support customers with battery replacement procedures and troubleshooting when required.
- Collect used batteries for
AMWT
- using the company pickup vehicle while ensuring compliance with safety and environmental procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of field visits, inspections, warranty cases, and battery collections.
- Coordinate with internal departments regarding warranty approvals, technical findings, and customer feedback.
- Ensure proper care and maintenance of company tools, equipment, and assigned vehicle.
- Follow company health, safety, and operational procedures during all field activities.
- Support the Technical & QA department with additional field-related tasks as required.
Education
- Diploma / ITI in Automobile, Electrical, Electronics, or related Technical Education.
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Automobile, Electrical, or Battery Handling field.
- Experience in field service, automotive aftermarket, or battery industry is preferred.
Language Skills
- English
- Hindi
Technical Skills
- Basic knowledge of vehicle electrical systems and battery diagnostics.
- Ability to conduct field inspections and technical troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with warranty handling processes is an advantage.
Other Requirements
- Valid UAE Driving License.
- Ability to drive a Light Commercial Vehicle / Pickup Truck.
- Willingness to travel extensively for field visits across UAE.
- Good customer handling and communication skills.
