Role overview

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• At least five years of relevant experience in fire protection and/or ventilation systems.
• Proven experience executing fire-fighting system projects.
• Knowledge of fire-fighting systems, installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance.
• Familiarity with NFPA standards and applicable local civil defence and authority requirements.
• Ability to review engineering drawings, technical specifications, and project documentation.
• Strong leadership, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills; able to manage multiple activities and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise fire-fighting system projects from planning through completion and handover.
• Handle QC documents including MAR, MIR, RFI, NCR, ITP, pressure-test records, and other test documents.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers, site teams, and design and drafting teams.
• Review drawings, submittals, method statements, and specifications; coordinate material approvals and technical submissions.
• Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of sprinklers, hose reels, hydrants, fire pumps, and associated piping.
• Ensure work complies with approved drawings, specifications, NFPA standards, and local authority requirements.
• Monitor QC procedures and installation quality; supervise flushing, pressure testing, commissioning, and final inspections.
• Attend meetings, resolve technical and site issues, prepare progress and handover documents, and address risks to timely completion.

Preferred qualifications

• Previous coordination with consultants, clients, and relevant authorities for inspections and approvals is preferred.
• Relevant professional certifications and authority approvals are preferred where applicable.

Pay

• Description states AED 4,500–75,000 per month; structured salary field states AED 4,500 per month.
