QA/QC Material Engineer

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain QA/QC plans, procedures, and site quality controls for marine and infrastructure activities.
• Review and process material submittals and approvals; confirm delivered materials comply with approved submittals and specifications.
• Coordinate and witness field and laboratory sampling and testing; ensure results meet acceptance criteria.
• Conduct inspections and audits, raise NCRs or observations, and follow corrective and preventive actions to closure.
• Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and site teams to resolve quality issues and prevent rework.
• Maintain inspection logs, test reports, and QA/QC records for project close-out and handover.
• Promote HSE compliance while performing site QA/QC responsibilities.

Required qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related equivalent discipline.
• At least 7 years of QA/QC and materials inspection experience in the UAE; road, CT, and infrastructure project experience is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, inspection and testing requirements, and QA/QC practices.
• Strong documentation, reporting, and coordination skills; able to work with multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong working knowledge of ADQCC, SMART HUB, and other authorities’ requirements.

Desired qualifications

• Relevant QA/QC certifications are an advantage.
• Construction supervision experience and experience supporting client approval processes are desired.

Work setting

• The role is part of a construction supervision team and includes site QA/QC activities in Abu Dhabi.
