Overview
responsible for ensuring that all piling activities comply with project specifications, approved drawings, quality standards, and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain the Project Quality Management System.
- Review project specifications, method statements, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), and quality procedures related to piling works.
- Conduct inspections of piling activities, including:
- Bored piles
- Driven piles
- CFA (Continuous Flight Auger) piles
- Sheet piling
- Micropiles (where applicable)
- Verify pile locations, dimensions, reinforcement cages, concrete quality, and installation procedures.
- Coordinate with site engineers, consultants, and clients for inspections and approvals.
- Monitor pile testing activities, including:
• Cross-Hole Sonic Logging (CSL)
- Prepare and submit inspection requests (IRs) and material approval requests (MARs).
- Maintain quality records, inspection reports, test reports, and non-conformance reports (NCRs).
- Ensure calibration of testing and surveying equipment.
- Identify quality issues and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Monitor concrete pouring activities and review concrete test results.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 standards and project quality requirements.
- Participate in internal and external quality audits.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- 3–10 years of experience in QA/QC for piling, foundation, or geotechnical projects.
- Knowledge of international standards such as:
- ASTM
- BS Standards
- ACI
- Eurocodes
- Local authority requirements
- Familiarity with pile testing methods and geotechnical reports.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and quality documentation systems.

- This role is critical in ensuring that piling and foundation works are executed safely, correctly, and in accordance with project specifications before subsequent construction activities begin.
Skills
Effective communication and coordination with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and site teams.
Knowledge of concrete quality control, reinforcement inspection, and surveying checks.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and quality management systems.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple inspections and deadlines.
Understanding of health, safety, and environmental requirements on construction sites.
Teamwork, leadership, and organizational skills.
