QA - Lead

Mandatory skills

• Selenium, Java, API automation, REST Assured, TDD, and JUnit are mandatory.

Strategy, standards, and team leadership

• Define and own enterprise automation strategy and roadmap aligned with engagement objectives and quality goals.
• Drive adoption of advanced automation tools, frameworks, and practices across projects.
• Establish governance, architecture, standards, reusable components, coding conventions, reporting, error handling, retry strategy, and test-data approaches.
• Lead multiple QA teams; provide leadership, mentoring, and strategic direction to QA and automation teams.
• Provide technical leadership for API authentication, asynchronous flows, data setup and teardown, and cross-system validation.

Delivery and quality outcomes

• Design GitLab CI/CD execution for automated suites, including pipeline stages, schedules, environments, and runner requirements.
• Own automation effectiveness, defect-leakage reduction, and test confidence across programs.
• Define KPIs, dashboards, and quality metrics with stakeholders, including pass rate, flakiness, execution duration, defect leakage, and release readiness.
• Establish Jira/X-Ray integration patterns for traceability, governance, and automated reporting.
• Review automation code, enforce standards, conduct code reviews, and mentor QA engineers.

Operations and continuous improvement

• Define knowledge transfer and onboarding practices, including framework use, contribution model, and troubleshooting runbooks.
• Identify and manage risks and dependencies involving environments, test data, access, and runner capacity; escalate blockers.
• Support defect triage and root-cause analysis with client teams and reduce flaky tests.
• Ensure automation artifacts are production-ready, documented, maintainable, and ready for handover.
• Contribute to Agile ceremonies and stakeholder demos; communicate progress, outcomes, and next steps.
• Identify innovation opportunities in AI-driven testing, performance optimization, and continuous testing.
