The role
The QA Engineer verifies accounting accuracy and the reliability of automated actions, and plays a central role in determining release readiness.
The role works directly with the founder.
Key responsibilities
- Validate end-to-end accounting workflows and their ledger impact, including journal entries, trial balance, profit and loss, and balance sheet.
- Test procurement, payables, receivables, and order management, including purchase order matching, invoice validation, and VAT treatment.
- Evaluate AI workflow interpretation, proposed actions, approval behavior, and safe handling of edge cases.
- Verify integration data integrity; test multi-company, partner, and role-based access scenarios.
- Design and maintain test cases and evaluation scenarios; report reproducible defects and verify resolutions.
- Plan and execute regression testing before each release.
Requirements
- 2–4 years of QA experience on web-based SaaS products; ERP, accounting, or fintech experience is preferred.
- Strong double-entry accounting knowledge, including chart of accounts, receivables and payables, accruals, reconciliation, and VAT; ability to determine accounting treatment.
- Experience testing integrations and data synchronization; proficiency with Jira, Confluence, and browser developer tools.
- Practical use of AI tools in testing, with sound judgment about their limitations.
- Excellent written English and a disciplined, self-directed approach to remote work.
- Full-time availability with overlap with UAE business hours.
Preferred qualifications
- Commerce or accounting background (B.Com, M.Com, or CA Inter) is preferred.
- Hands-on experience with Zoho Books, Odoo, Tally, or QuickBooks is preferred.
- Experience evaluating AI or LLM-based product features and familiarity with UAE VAT or e-invoicing are preferred.
Work arrangement
- The role is full-time and fully remote.
Compensation
- Compensation range is 4–5 LPA.
