QA Engineer: Platform Games
Role Overview
We're reimagining Atari's classic arcade catalog as short-session games for Reddit, MSN and emerging channels.
We need a QA Engineer who can catch problems before players do, keep releases moving on tight timelines, and make sure every title meets platform certification standards before it goes live.

What You'll Do
Test each title through the full pipeline: functional, regression, compatibility and performance testing before every release
Look past surface bugs to judge the whole experience: gameplay feel, pacing, difficulty balance, onboarding and UX, not just whether the UI technically works
Write and maintain test plans and test cases for internal and outsourced titles
File clear, reproducible bug reports and track them through to a verified fix
Check builds against platform certification requirements (Reddit, MSN) before submission
Work closely with producers and developers to triage issues and keep releases on schedule
Test across multiple devices, browsers and aspect ratios, since these games need to hold up on any screen
Watch for performance issues like slow load times, dropped frames and memory spikes, and document them with clear repro steps
Run regression passes after patches and live-ops updates
Track quality metrics such as crash rate, open bug count and time-to-fix, and report weekly
Use AI tools to speed through repetitive work, like drafting test cases or doing a first pass on logs, so you can move on to the next title sooner
Qualifications
- Required
- 3+ years in QA/testing for games (mobile, casual or browser titles)
- Experience testing Unity and/or HTML5 games across browsers, devices and aspect ratios
- An eye for UX as well as UI: you notice when something feels off even when nothing is technically broken
- Good bug-reporting discipline: clear repro steps, sensible severity calls, thorough verification after fixes
- Comfortable running QA on several titles at once within tight release windows
- Some familiarity with platform certification or submission requirements (Reddit, MSN or similar)
- Used to working with AI tools day to day, for things like generating test cases, scanning logs or drafting reports, to get through routine work faster.
- Exposure to live-ops testing: post-launch patches, events, seasonal content
- Basic scripting or test automation experience
- Preferred
- Passion for retro/arcade gaming and the Atari catalog
- Experience with bug tracking or test management tools such as Jira or TestRail
- 2-4 years
- Location: Netaji Subhash Place, Pitampura, Delhi
- Employment Type: Contract role
- Work Timings: 9AM - 6PM IST
