Role summary
The QA Engineer II tests software quality, reliability, performance, and stability throughout the SDLC.
The role works with Product Owners, Developers, Business Analysts, and DevOps teams across web applications, APIs, databases, and batch-processing systems.
Location and workplace
- The description specifies hybrid work in Hyderabad, Telangana.
Testing and automation
- Design test strategies, plans, cases, and scenarios; perform functional, integration, system, regression, end-to-end, and user acceptance testing.
- Develop and maintain UI automation with Playwright or Selenium and API automation for RESTful and microservice applications.
- Validate databases, backend data, batch processes, file integrations, ETL workflows, and scheduled jobs.
- Use Python and Pandas for testing utilities, data validation, reconciliation, reporting, and test data analysis.
- Support CI/CD pipelines and quality gates; contribute to framework improvements and testing best practices.
Quality collaboration
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and meet quality requirements.
- Identify, document, and track defects through resolution; perform root-cause analysis and continuous improvement.
- Use AI-powered development tools for testing tasks while applying appropriate QA oversight and validation.
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology, or 5+ years of hands-on software testing experience.
- Experience with Playwright or Selenium UI automation, API automation, SQL and relational databases, and data validation.
- Experience testing batch systems, ETL workflows, and file-based integrations; strong Python and Pandas experience.
- Experience with test management and defect tracking tools; familiarity with Git and source control.
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, troubleshooting, and communication skills; Agile/Scrum experience.
- Experience with AI-powered tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Cursor, or similar for QA-related work.
Preferred qualifications
- CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Bamboo, or Jenkins; cloud application testing on AWS; performance testing, monitoring, and observability.
- GenAI application testing, including chatbots, copilots, assistants, workflow automation, and validation of AI-generated outputs.
- LLM testing, prompt engineering, RAG validation, and AI evaluation methodologies.
Pay
- Pay is ₹1,000,000–₹2,000,000 per year.
