Role overview

Oversee software feature testing as part of a collaborative in-house and outsourced team.

Review quality for an omnichannel e-commerce website and mobile application.

Use automation and manual testing tools and help define QA coding standards and frameworks.

Responsibilities

  • Develop testing strategies and streamlined processes to reduce redundant testing.
  • Design test cases for new projects and translate requirements into positive and negative scenarios.
  • Execute test cases and integration tests using automation.
  • Design, program, and execute automated suites for e-commerce front-end functionality across browsers.
  • Manage projects from conception through implementation and coordinate stakeholder requirement reviews.
  • Provide solutions to issues based on system understanding and client business processes.

Education and experience

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or software engineering.
  • 3+ years of software QA automation experience across web and mobile platforms, including API, app, and web automation.

Knowledge and skills

  • In-depth understanding of Java, Python, SQL, and XML.
  • Experience building automation frameworks from scratch using BDD and tools including Cucumber, PhantomJS, Katalon/Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, or REST Assured.
  • Knowledge of continuous integration principles and tools such as Jenkins and GitHub.
  • Experience with e-commerce platforms, order management systems, search, and third-party e-commerce applications.
  • Exposure to modern web standards and technology; ability to work with cross-functional business and technical stakeholders.
  • Experience in Agile Scrum and test-driven environments; consult on estimates, impact, and risk assessments.
  • JMeter scripting for performance and load testing is a plus.
  • Exposure to bug tracking and task management software such as JIRA and QMETRY.
