Job Purpose
The QA Engineer helps ensure delivery of high-quality, reliable, user-friendly software by identifying and addressing defects through testing.
The role collaborates with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders on testing objectives and plans.
Workplace
- Hybrid role requiring 1 to 2 days per week in Eashing, Surrey, and occasional days at the London office.
- Availability on call during holiday periods may be requested by prior arrangement.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product and development teams during design and refinement to identify issues, testability concerns, and edge cases.
- Create test cases and plans; execute manual and automated tests; analyze results and maintain automation.
- Validate and report bugs with detailed descriptions and reproduction steps.
- Support issue triage and root cause analysis, including interactions with customers and prospects when required.
- Keep QA methods current and work with development teams to support quality standards.
Requirements
- Testing experience with web applications and a broad range of testing types and techniques.
- Professional test automation experience; knowledge of Playwright, ideally using C#; knowledge of Git.
- Experience with a cloud-based test device platform such as Sauce Labs or BrowserStack.
- Manual or automated API testing experience, including tools such as Postman.
- Awareness of industry standards and current test automation tools and practices; ISEB/ISTQB Foundation Level Certification.
- Knowledge of VSTS, Azure DevOps, or equivalent; experience in Agile teams practicing Continuous Delivery.
- Experience with Appium mobile automation, non-functional testing, and Azure or similar cloud services.
- Strong written and spoken communication; ability to work independently and collaboratively; commitment to quality and high standards.
