Role overview
QA analyst or software tester role focused on POS peripherals and hardware integration at LOC Software.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot peripheral drivers, firmware, and middleware; verify compatibility across Windows versions and POS software releases.
- Perform functional, integration, regression, compatibility, and end-to-end testing of POS peripherals.
- Validate hardware communication through USB, serial, Ethernet, Bluetooth, HID, OPOS, JavaPOS, and Windows Native APIs.
- Create and maintain installation guides, user guides, troubleshooting guides, and hardware setup documentation.
Requested qualifications
- More than 5 years of experience as a QA analyst or software tester.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, software engineering, QA, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience testing and configuring PIN pads, printers, FastLane self-checkouts, barcode scanners, and scales.
- Proven experience creating and maintaining detailed technical and test documentation.
Work environment
