Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Purchasing Officer with strong knowledge of building materials to join our team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing construction materials while ensuring cost efficiency and timely delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and evaluate suppliers for building materials (cement, steel, timber, finishing materials, etc.)
- Compare prices and negotiate contracts with vendors
- Prepare and process purchase orders
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier performance
- Coordinate with project and site teams to ensure timely material delivery
- Monitor inventory levels and forecast material requirements
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procurement procedures
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Purchasing Officer / Procurement Officer
- Strong knowledge of building materials and construction supplies
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
- Experience in UAE market preferred
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in construction or building materials industry
