Role Overview
Purchasing Manager role for a building materials retail business in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
The role oversees sourcing, negotiation, purchasing, cost efficiency, quality, and stock availability.
Procurement Responsibilities
- Manage procurement for building materials including cement, steel, tiles, sanitary products, and electrical materials.
- Identify suppliers, negotiate pricing and contracts, and maintain vendor relationships.
- Coordinate purchase orders, delivery tracking, inventory levels, and supply issue resolution.
- Analyze market trends, pricing, demand forecasts, costs, and budgets.
- Coordinate with warehouse, sales, and finance teams to support stock and payment processes.
Team Leadership
- Lead and supervise four procurement staff to maintain productivity and efficiency.
- Assign tasks, monitor performance, and provide training and guidance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 8–10 years of procurement experience in building materials trading or retail.
- Strong knowledge of UAE building materials products and suppliers.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong negotiation, vendor management, analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in UAE, GCC, and international market procurement is preferred.
- A strong supplier network in the building materials industry is preferred.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines is preferred.
Compensation
- Pay is AED 3,591.07 to AED 13,126.85 per month.
Workplace
- The work location is in person in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
