Role overview
Purchasing Manager for an event production and fabrication company in Dubai.
The role covers procurement for event production, scenic fabrication, exhibitions, stage sets, and temporary structures.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of purchasing or procurement experience; UAE experience is preferred.
- Experience in event production, exhibitions, fabrication, fit-out, interiors, or construction is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of the UAE supplier and materials market, sourcing, negotiation, cost comparison, and supplier management.
- Able to coordinate across suppliers and internal teams and handle multiple urgent project requirements.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and purchasing or ERP systems; good written and spoken English.
- Own car and valid UAE driving license are highly preferred.
Key responsibilities
- Manage procurement from sourcing suppliers and comparing quotations to negotiating prices and payment terms and issuing purchase orders.
- Source materials including timber, plywood/MDF, steel, aluminum, acrylic, fabrics, paints, hardware, electrical and printing materials, tools, consumables, and rental equipment.
- Coordinate deliveries and purchasing with project, production, workshop, logistics, accounts, and management teams to meet deadlines.
Pay
- AED 8,000–10,000 per month.
