Purchasing and Inventory Specialist

POSTION OVERVIEW

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Places IVIG and specialty drug purchase orders for all pharmacy locations.
• Aids in maintaining proper stock in IVIG and specialty medications.
• Helps Purchasing Supervisor with locating hard-to-find products for all pharmacy locations.
• Back up to Purchasing Supervisor when finalizing inventory reports for all pharmacy locations.
• Updates and prepares supply chain tracking and ordering workbooks and reports.
• Reviews and provides new drug access information and profitability assessments.
• Assists when needed with equipment maintenance needs.
• Performs other related and support duties as assigned and developed by management.

REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the field or related area.
• Familiar with a variety of fields, concepts, practices and procedures, preferably in a healthcare setting.
• Proficiency in Office applications such as Word, and Excel.
• Excellent communications skills, telephone skills, and organizational skills.
• Advanced decision making and problem-solving skills.
