Job Purpose

The PRO / Government Relations Officer will be responsible for handling all government-related transactions, documentation, approvals, renewals, and compliance matters for the company.

The role requires strong knowledge of UAE government procedures, excellent coordination skills, and the ability to manage visa, labour, immigration, trade license, RTA, municipality, and other regulatory processes efficiently.

Government Relations & Compliance

Manage all company-related government transactions with authorities such as MOHRE, Immigration, GDRFA, ICP, Dubai Economy, RTA, Municipality, Police, Civil Defence, and other relevant departments.

Ensure all company licenses, permits, approvals, labour cards, establishment cards, immigration cards, vehicle-related permits, and other regulatory documents are renewed on time.

Maintain strong working relationships with government departments, typing centers, Tasheel, Amer, Tawjeeh, RTA, and other service providers.

Keep the company updated on any changes in UAE labour law, immigration rules, visa procedures, Emiratisation requirements, and other compliance matters.

Visa & Immigration Processing

Handle end-to-end employee visa processing, including offer letters, labour approvals, entry permits, medical tests, Emirates ID, visa stamping, renewals, cancellations, and status changes.

Coordinate with employees for required documents and ensure all visa-related processes are completed within the required timelines.

Track visa expiries, labour card expiries, Emirates ID renewals, and passport validity to avoid fines or delays.

Support management with visa planning, quota applications, labour file updates, and employee transfers where required.

Trade License & Company Documentation

Manage trade license renewals, amendments, branch registrations, activity additions, lease/Ejari coordination, and approvals from relevant authorities.

Maintain updated records of all company legal documents, including trade licenses, establishment cards, tenancy contracts, regulatory permits, and government approvals.

Coordinate with Finance and Management for payment of government fees, deposits, fines, and renewals.

Rta And Fleet And Operational Support

Coordinate with RTA and other authorities for vehicle-related registrations, renewals, permits, approvals, fines, inspections, and operational requirements.

Support the Operations team with authority approvals required for business activities, especially for fleet, transport, cleaning, or on-road services.

Assist in resolving compliance issues raised by authorities and provide timely updates to management.

Employee & Administrative Support

Support the HR team with employee onboarding, offboarding, document collection, labour complaints, absconding cases, and government-related employee matters.

Assist employees with Emirates ID, medical appointments, visa queries, and other government-related documentation.

Maintain organized files and trackers for all government transactions, employee documents, company documents, and renewal dates.

Reporting & Coordination

Prepare regular reports on visa status, pending applications, renewals, fines, approvals, and compliance risks.

Update management on urgent matters, delays, rejected applications, or changes in government requirements.

Coordinate with internal departments to ensure smooth processing of all government-related tasks.

Requirements

Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a PRO / Government Relations Officer in the UAE.

Strong knowledge of UAE labour, immigration, visa, trade license, RTA, and municipality procedures.

Good working relationships with government departments, typing centers, Tasheel, Amer, Tawjeeh, RTA, and related authorities.

Valid UAE driving license is preferred.

Strong communication skills in English; Arabic speaking is an advantage.

Ability to work under pressure and handle urgent government-related matters.

Excellent follow-up, coordination, and documentation skills.

Good knowledge of online government portals and UAE regulatory systems.

High level of confidentiality, professionalism, and attention to detail.

Preferred Experience

Experience in car rental, transport, limousine, logistics, cleaning services, or fleet-based companies will be an added advantage.

Experience handling large employee visa volumes and multiple company trade licenses.

Knowledge of Emiratisation, labour file management, quota applications, and compliance requirements.
