Job Role
Promoting and selling Protective Coatings range of products to existing and new protective coatings customers; developing strong relationships with all key customer stakeholders by utilizing Asian Paints Berger products and services to achieve budgeted sales and gross margin, thereby increasing the market share and profitability.
Job Responsibilities
- Planning and visiting existing and prospective new customers on regular basis as per assigned targets and territories
- Effective management of existing customers in order to increase share with existing accounts
- Developing new customers by briefing them about Asian Paints Berger Protective coatings, conducting pre-qualification sampling, commercial negotiation
- Preparing quotations in accordance with the coating systems as per the specifications. Signing off annual rate contracts for key customers
- Achieving sales targets for the assigned territory on monthly basis. Execute sales strategies to achieve budgeted targets, improve gross margins, and increase market share
- Effective planning of collections and ensuring payment receivables are collected as per credit terms
- Working closely with Technology to identify product gaps and provide inputs for new product developments
- Effective use of CRM tools to address customer complaints and take necessary actions to close the complaints
- Develop and maintain strong partnerships with customers, contractors, applicators, and consultants to ensure high satisfaction and long-term loyalty
- Promote coating solutions to owners and consultants to ensure Asian Paints Berger as the preferred brand in project specifications
- Monitor on-site progress and provide technical support to ensure project completion within agreed timelines and quality standards
- Manage account plans and monitor collections to ensure payments are received within agreed terms (DSO)
- Prepare professional proposals and presentations to win new contracts and expand business with existing clients
Qualifications And Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Science/Engineering from Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering etc.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in B2B Technical Sales and Business Development, preferably from Protective Coatings Paint or related industry
- Candidates with NACE or equivalent certification are preferred
- Competent in using CRM Tools, MS Office etc.
- Willingness to travel extensively to cover project sites, new geographies etc.
- Demonstrates ownership and accountability, drives business and commercial success, collaborates with stakeholders and communicates effectively
